LOVESICK by Teatro Luna (2017-Present)

LOVESICK is ensemble-devised performance tackling the current spectrum of violence inflicted on our bodies and the policing of our spirits. Rage, laugh, cry, and then wake the hell up inside these 70 minutes of heightened theatrical adventure filled with original music, movement, and story. We fully intend to mourn, resist, and both decry and celebrate the complexities of our American lives today

LOVESICK is currently in pre-production for an multi-city development tour and a world-premier in L.A in the Spring of 2018. The first version was presented at the Destinos Festival @ The Victory Gardens Theatre in Chicago

This solo show is Gabriela's passion project. Written and performed by her and first Directed by Alex Alpharaoh, Las Garcia was first workshopped at the 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival and was awarded the first-ever Fringe Diversity Scholarship. HOMEFREE BY LISA LOOMER (2015)

Directed by Michael Matthews  and workshoped with Loomer in the room, the world premiere of HOMEFREE opened at The Road Theatre Company in Los Angeles.

The play follows Breezy (played by Gabriela), JJ and Franking, a band of runaway teens in Oregon that decide to live "Home Free" to escape the violence and abuse they face in their homes.

The play received rave reviews and won the 2015 Best play award at the NoHo Fringe Festival.
